Frazier and Williams Re-signed

REGINA -- Defensive back Lance Frazier and linebacker Renauld Williams have re-signed with the CFL’s Saskatchewan Roughriders a month before they were to become free agents.

“Lance and Renauld are both terrific young players with great futures,” general manager Eric Tillman said in a media release.
“We are very pleased to have them back, and expect each to be a big part of our foundation for continued success in Saskatchewan.”

Frazier has been with the Roughriders for the past three seasons. This past season, he started 17 regular-season games, registering 37 defensive tackles, six pass knockdowns, two special-teams tackles, one fumble recovery, one forced fumble and a team-leading five interceptions.

Williams dressed for 16 games in 2008 and started four. He finished the season with 39 defensive tackles, three quarterback sacks, two pass knockdowns, two forced fumbles, one interception which he returned for a touchdown, and a team-leading 18 special-teams tackles.
